In 1986 I accepted the position as Financial Controller for the subsidiary to Jonas Øglænd A/S in New York, USA. They sold exercise bikes in the U.S.A. I left the company after three years as we moved the business and I had to move from New York to New Jersey. The company and my cars Then I bought a motorcycle and drove around the world during the next three years, from December 1988 to March 1992. After 110.000 miles on two wheels, I settled down in Munich in March 1992. Travel start and with a Harley in Munich After only one year in Munich my job was relocated to Holland. I came to Germany to learn German, and I did not want to move to Holland. Therefore, I left the company and started in a new job in Essen. At work and my vehicle pool in Essen I worked for eight years in the company Flowserve until they also wanted me to move to Holland. For me it was not desirable, and I left the company. My family on visit in Essen Thereafter I have had different jobs as independent consultant, 3 years as Director of Finance for IFF and current as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for Air Filtration (SPX), and I still live in Essen.
